<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method that enable smooth communication between different-protocol executing terminals of IPv4 (Internet Protocol version 4), IPv6 etc., of P2P (peer to peer) applications. <P>SOLUTION: In the communication between the terminals which use addresses based upon the different communication protocols such as IPv4 and IPv6, a DNS (Domain Name System) for P2P service executes DNS dynamic update processing to set a zone authority DNS as a DNS-ALG (Domain Name Service-Application Level Gateway), and execute a DNS dynamic update processing request and all IP address inquiries based upon FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name) through the DNS-ALG. In address acquisition processing on the basis of a domain name (FQDN), address notification processing corresponding to a protocol stack that a terminal has is enabled under the control of the DNS-ALG to smoothly carry out the communication between the peer terminals. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
