<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector capable of being made thinner to respond to the needs for a lighter, thinner, shorter and smaller electronic equipment. <P>SOLUTION: The connector is provided with a connector body equipped with an insulated housing 10 storing a contactor 11 and having an opening part 12, and an insulated actuator 30 supported in free rotation to the connector body. The connector is electrically connected with a flexible cable 2 inserted into the opening part 12 and the contactor 11 crimped by the insulated actuator 30 in rotation of the insulated actuator 30. The connector body is provided with a metal cover 20 covering a part of the insulated housing 10 and having an axial edge 25 being as a fulcrum of a lever of a pressing part 34 of the insulated actuator 30 when the insulated actuator 30 is rotated, then, the thin type connector can provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
