<p>PURPOSE:To display more than two distance ranges, far and close, in a signal display for observing them simultaneously by transmitting microwaves according to transmission pulse sequence selected as two distance ranges or more. CONSTITUTION:A transmission control signal St and a band changing signal Sr are formed by a control circuit 32 according to two display distance ranges or more designated by a radar designator 30 and sent to a transmitter 20 and a receiver 22 of a radar transmitter/receiver 10. For a transmission pulse width, a narrow pulse width and a wide pulse width are repeatedly alternately emitted. A reflected wave from a target around its own station is received by the receiver 22 in a narrow band width for the wide pulse width, and in a wide band width for the narrow pulse width. An output of the receiver 22 is sent to video processing circuits 36 and 38 to be circuit processed corresponding to the pulse width and transferred to a video memory 40 to be displayed in a display 42. More than two distance ranges can thus be displayed in a signal display simultaneously.</p> |
