<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a closed battery which improves sealing performance at a double wound-tightening portion (junction portion) to maintain high airtightness. <P>SOLUTION: According to the closed battery 100, a battery container 20 and a lid 30 are joined to each other by a double wound-tightening method. A container fold-back portion 24 is formed on the periphery of an opening of the battery container 20, and a lid fold-back portion 34 integrated with the container fold-back portion 24 is formed on the outer periphery of the lid 30. The front end 36 of the lid fold-back portion 34 is cramped by the container fold-back portion 24. A first sealing member 50 is placed in a gap between the front end 26 of the container fold-back portion 24 and the interior of a bent portion 37 of the lid fold-back portion 34 to block up the gap. A second sealing member 52 is placed in a gap between the front end 36 of the lid fold-back portion 34 and the interior of a fold-back portion 27 of the container fold-back portion 24 to block up the gap. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
