<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To process a predetermined packet received via a network while maintaining an information processor having an electric power saving mode function in electric power saving mode. <P>SOLUTION: A network controller 24 of a general-purpose processor 20 as a control section having a CPU (Central Processing Unit) 21 is connected to a PHY (Physical layer) 15 as a connecting unit to the network via a packet processing unit 40. When the general-purpose processor 20 or the like is in the electric power saving mode, the packet received from the PHY15 is processed by the packet processing unit 40 without the CPU 21.
