FIELD: manufacture of different pressed articles, possibly industrial production of irregular form articles such as hinged metering capping units due to improved arrangement of resin blank in cavity of press-mold. ^ SUBSTANCE: article is produced by pressing at using special-configuration blank of thermoplastic material arranged in predetermined location at preset orientation relative to surfaces of cavity of portion of press-mold. According to preferable variant of invention blank has practically egg-shaped configuration and it is arranged close to press mold surface restricting small region of cavity of press-mold between two large regions of press-mold. ^ EFFECT: possibility for making different general-purpose pressed articles at correctly filling all space of press-mold cavity without creation of stresses. ^ 15 cl, 17 dwg
