PURPOSE:To surely exhaust ozone gas out of a space between a corona discharger and a photosensitive body by rotating the photosensitive body at the fixed time intervals after completion of printing process. CONSTITUTION:While the photosensitive body belt unit 4 is driven to rotate, the photosensitive body belt surface is electrified by an electrifying charger 5 as the corona discharger, then an electrostatic latent image is formed on the photosensitive body belt 4 by having it irradiated by laser beams from a laser unit 6. Then, the ozone gas staying on the surface of the photosensitive body 4 is conveyed and exhausted by rotating the photosensitive body belt unit 4, independently of the printing process, at the certain intervals after completion of the printing operation, i.e. the remained ozone gas is removed by rotating the photosensitive body 4 and exhausted out of the device by an exhaust fan. Thus, the ozone gas between the corona discharger 5 and the photosensitive body is surely exhausted. |
