PURPOSE:To synthesize an image with a simple operation and constitution by specifying an exposing and scanning range, holding the images of plural specified ranges on an image holding means, and transferring the held images en block. CONSTITUTION:When the first original is set, and a synthesizing mode is execut ed, a prescan is carried out, and the position of a thermal lever is detected. After that, a belt mark 11a on a transfer belt 11 is detected, and a part of a photosensitive drum 3 is electrified for T1-seconds, corresponding to an image region from the leading edge of the image to the position of the thermal lever. Time that the photosensitive 3 is moved from an electrifying point to an expos ing point is delayed by t2-seconds, to carry out an exposure. Development is carried out by delaying the time by t3-seconds, similarly, and a primary transfer is performed by delaying the time by t4-seconds. Then, displacing to the second original is carried out, the images from the position of the thermal lever to the tailing edge of the image on the transfer belt 11 after the exposure and development are carried out, while the time is delayed, like the first original. These images are secondarily transferred on a sheet P en block. |
