A transmission for a motor and a controller thereof are provided to effectively drive the motor at two speeds by using a BLDC(Brushless DC) motor generating a high torque. A transmission for a motor includes a ring gear(131), a transmission ring gear(150), a sun gear(160), and a transmission planetary gear(162). The ring gear receives the motor power. The transmission ring gear is arranged outside the ring gear and selectively driven, when the ring gear is rotated in a forward direction, such that a constant forward speed is obtained. The sun gear is arranged inside the ring gear and selectively driven, when the ring gear is rotated in a reverse direction. The transmission planetary gear is teeth-coupled with an outer surface of the sun gear and an inner surface of the transmission ring gear, and decreases a forward speed of the transmission ring gear. |
