The invention relates to ship superstructure comprising several modules, in particular, in the form of crew module, bridge module and/or funnel module. Said modules have a compatible modular dimension and are designed to be self-supporting. Furthermore, in the vicinity of the main deck of the ship at least one level is provided with crew modules, wherein on this at least one level, the starboard and/or port-side modules are stacked with a free space between the starboard-and port-side modules and the free space is laid out to accommodate load. The invention further relates to a methods for construction of such a ship structure.
