<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus or the like having a quiet sound mode in which noise is made less than in an ordinary mode by reducing noise itself leaked out from the opening part 82 of equipment. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has: the opening part 82 for discharging air inside the apparatus to the outside of the apparatus or sucking outside air into the apparatus; a fan 8 for cooling an object to be cooled in the apparatus by sending air to it or discharging air from it; a duct 81 guiding the air by connecting its end to the opening part 82 or the fan 8 or providing the fan 8 inside; a control part 9 controlling the operation of the apparatus and also performing control to reduce the noise from the fan 8 from the ordinary mode; and the quiet sound mode maintaining such a state that the noise is made less than in the ordinary mode under control by the control part 9. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
