<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable direction of view endoscope, providing constitution that can be realized, and reducing the number of movable parts. <P>SOLUTION: The endoscope comprises a wide-angle lens provided with an optical axis that is angularly offset from a longitudinal axis of the endoscope in such a way that the optical axis exists in an angle greater than zero degree to the longitudinal axis. The wide-angle lens system continuously gathers an endoscopic imaging range at least between the longitudinal axis and an angle greater than the longitudinal axis by ninety degrees. The endoscope is further provided with an imaging element provided with an imaging surface range to receive at least part of an endoscopic image transmitted by the wide-range system for generating output signals corresponding to the endoscopic imaging range, and an image forming circuit to receive the output signals for generating image signals. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
