Disclosed is an apparatus for removing a release paper of a backlight unit. According to the present invention, the apparatus for removing a release paper of a backlight unit, in an apparatus for peeling off release papers attached to upper and lower surfaces of a film, includes: a worktable formed with two rails arranged in parallel to each other and a plurality of support plates; a magazine formed on the support plate located on one side of the worktable, wherein a plurality of films are stacked on the magazine; first and second jigs formed on the support plate located on the other side of the worktable and spaced apart from one side of the magazine; an exhausting member for transferring the films from the magazine one by one to put the films onto the first jig; and an absorbing member moving alternately to the first and second jigs such that the films are placed alternately to the first and second jigs and the upper and lower release papers are stripped, wherein the first jig is formed with a first attaching part attached to one side of a lower release paper and the absorbing member is formed with a second attaching part attached to one side of an upper release paper. Thus, while a plurality of films are stacked to assemble a backlight unit, high-pressure air is discharged to remove dust and the dust scattering in the air is sucked to be removed, so the contamination may be prevented from being caused in advance, thereby improving the product reliability and reducing a defect rate. |
