PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of efficiently transmitting a content from a transmission apparatus to a receiving apparatus.SOLUTION: A transmission apparatus 20 stores a content, and acquires an unreceived content, which has not been stored in a format corresponding to a receiving apparatus 10, included in contents to be specified by a list of contents transmitted to the receiving apparatus 10. The transmission apparatus 20 issues an instruction to the receiving apparatus 10 so as not to transmit a content request for at least one of the unreceived contents.
