PURPOSE:To accomplish reliable development by positioning the tip part of a soft elastic member at the tip part of a supporting body formed of a spring plate between the different poles of a fixed magnet roll. CONSTITUTION:Developer 2 is attracted by the magnetic pole S3 of the fixed magnet roll 1 and carried with the rotation of a sleeve 1b in a direction A. When the developer 2 is carried to the press-contact part of a contact blade 4, it is formed into the thin layer of uniform component which is 5.2 mg/cm<2> on the sleeve 1b. With the rotation of the sleeve 1b, the developer 2 is carried to a developing area and only toner adheres corresponding to an electrostatic latent image on a photoconductive drum 5, so that the electrostatic latent image is developed. The rest of toner and carrier which does not adhere is carried as it is and separated from the sleeve 1b between the magnetic poles S2 and S3 of the fixed magnet roll 1a, and then it is restored to a hopper 3. Thus, the reliable development is accomplished. |
