PURPOSE:To automatically position a specimen always at a constant measurement point by making a specimen mount face a slope with a periphery high and which lowers as its center is approached. CONSTITUTION:A lower face of a specimen housing recess 5 at the tip of a specimen holder 4, that is a specimen mount face 13, is formed of four connected slopes which lower toward the center. Liquid specimen 14 housed in the recess 5 becomes spherical as it is heated and is positioned at the center of the mount face 13 following the inclination of the mount face 13. Thus the specimen can always be positioned automatically at a constant position. |
