摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To calculate a tension deviation at each stand from the lock-on time of each stand by differentiating a rolling torque expression, considering influence coefficients to a rolling load and a rolling torque and a change of a torque arm length and using measured values for the disturbance to the values and the influence coefficient of the roll clearance. CONSTITUTION:In the differential form l of the rolling torque expression, when its matrix expression is AX=B and the weight matrix is W, an estimated value tfi of the tension deviation from a lockon value on the outlet side of Stand No.n or an estimated value tfLj,i of the tension deviation from a lockon value on the outlet side of Stand No. j when the tip of the material is engaged with Stand No.j is obtained by means of a working equation 2 of the method of least squares. An estimated value tfi of tension deviation when the rear end of the material passes through the stand is obtained in the same way. The deviation of tension can be estimated with high precision from the time when the fir of the material is engaged with the inlet of the stand to the time when the rear of the material passes through the outlet side of the stand.</p>
