PURPOSE:To enlarge a range of attaining low reflectance, to improve transmission and to simplify a process by laminating two or more layers of thin film comprising a metal oxide having a gradient refractive index formed by sol gel method on arbitrary glass. CONSTITUTION:This glass having a low reflecting multitlayer film is provided with two or more layers obtained by hydrolyzing a metal alcoholate in the presence of an organic compound containing one or more hydroxyl groups and one or more ether groups, making the resulting substance into a sol, applying the prepared solution to glass and sintering. The thin film layer of the metal oxide has a refractive index increasing from the outermost layer to the innermost layer. |
