<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition free from fogging, having excellent storage stability and good thermal color-developing property and useful for thermal recording medium, etc., by dissolving a specific color-developing agent in an organic solvent and developing the color of a basic dye with heat. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition is produced by dissolving or dispersing a colorless or faintly colored basic dye and a color-developing agent for the thermal color-development of said dye in an organic solvent. The color- developing agent is one or more compounds selected from the compounds of formula I and formula II (Y is 1-4C alkylene; R1 to R6 are H, halogen, 1-4C alkylene, 1-4C alkoxy, phenyl or benzyl; R1 and R2 or R4 and R5 may be bonded together to form an aromatic ring; A and B are O or S). The compound is e.g. 1-(4-hydroxyphenoxy)-2-phenoxy-ethane.</p> |
