PURPOSE:To permit a cloth member to be easily broken along the warf and the woof at the time of an air bag inflation by extending the both end sections of the warf or the woof forming a cover toward each cut-in section which is formed at the corner sections of the cloth member while being positioned at places in the diagonal directions. CONSTITUTION:A cover 11 is mainly composed of a square cloth member, and cut-in sections 17, 19, 21 and 23 are formed at each corner section of the cloth member, and the cover is provided with a ground cloth 13a positioned at the center section, and extended cloths 13b extend in four directions from the ground cloth 13a with the whole of the cover cut roughly in a cruci-form shape. And each neighborhood of the end surfaces of the respective extended cloths 13b is formed with mounting holes 15 for a base plate in which an inflator is housed in. On the other hand, the both end sections of the warf 25 forming the ground cloth 13a in the longer direction are extended to the cut-in section 17 and to the cut-in section 19 located at the diagonal position with respect to the aforesaid cut-in section. And the both end sections of the woof 27 are similarly extended to the cut-in section 21 in the longer direction, and to the cut-in section 23 located at the diagonal position with respect to the aforesaid cut-in section. |
