PURPOSE:To provide the title agent having HIV proliferation-inhibitory activity, thus having potential to be a medicine effective e.g. for preventing AIDS to be developed due to HIV infection, containing, as active ingredient, lactobacillus microbes. CONSTITUTION:The objective agent containing, as active ingredient, lactobacillus microbe such as Lactobacillus casei. Said microbes can be obtained by incubating lactobacillus by a conventional means using an appropriate medium followed by washing by a conventional means and then purification pref. through heating and sterilization. Said microbes, which inhibits bonding between cells and HIV or is high in mitogenic activity effecting lymphocyte stimulation, is estimated to be involved in HIV proliferation inhibition in some manner through acting on cells. |
