1,011,613. Valves. HOERBIGER VENTILWERKE A.G. Oct. 29, 1963 [Nov. 10, 1962], No. 42584/63. Heading F2V. A compressor valve has the seat 1, Fig. 1, spaced from the guard 2 by a washer 5 which also serves to guide a valve plate 6 and a spring plate 7. The valve plate 6 comprises four concentric rings 8, Fig. 2, interconnected by two, or as shown four, radial webs 9; one web is provided with an oblong hole 10 for a pin that secures the two plates 6, 7 against rotation. The spring plate 7, Fig. 3, also incorporates four rings 11 joined by two webs 12 on a common diameter; when assembled as shown in Fig. 1, the plate 7 contacts the plate 6 only in the region of the webs 12 so that as the plate 6 is lifted from the seat 1 it adapts itself to the contour of the plate 7. In other forms, the spring plate may have one radial web only or the two radial webs may be discontinuous. The rigidity of the spring plates may be altered by radial slots. The armature of the plates may be reversed and a number of such plates may be employed; the webs of the two plates may be variously disposed. The valve and spring plates may be of the same thickness. |
