PURPOSE:To improve the frequency characteristic by multiplying a coefficient proportional to a difference between an object gain of a band and a means value of object gains of each band with a component of each frequency band frequency-divided by a filter. CONSTITUTION:The equalizer is provided with plural filters b1-b5 and a 1st adder 1 adding an input signal and output signals from 1st multipliers c1-c5 multiplying each coefficient ki with inputs or outputs of the filters and a prescribed coefficient is multiplied with an output of the 1st adder 1 so that a gain is A'. On the other hand, the input signal and an output of the 1st adder 1 are added and the sum is fed to a circuit comprising the filters b1-b5 and the 1st multipliers c1-c5. Moreover, the equalizer is provided with an arithmetic circuit 12 operating ki=(Gi-G)/20 and A'=A+G, where Gi is an object gain of each frequency band, G is a mean value of the gain Gi, and A is an entire object gain. Thus, the frequency characteristic is improved. |
