PURPOSE:To raise the air-tightness of window by a method in which an elastic gasket having fitting grooves on both sides in the lengthwise direction of its bar-like material is integrated with a metal reinforcing plate by fitting it with one fitting groove of the gasket to assemble a square window frame by turning its opening outwards. CONSTITUTION:A pivoted window 1 is made up of an elastic long gasket 6 of rubber or others and a metal long reinforcing plate 7, forming a window frame 5, where a window frame 2, a glass plate 3, and a rotary shaft 4 are assembled to form both cantilever pieces 8 and 9 through a fitting groove 10 on the lengthwise both sides of the gasket 6. A reinforcing plate 7 is bent to closely fit it into the groove 10a on one side and the open face 7a fitted into the groove 10a is fixed outwards by an adhesive. The plate 7 is integrated with the flexible gasket 6 to give it a rigidity for forming a specific shape and also for securing the hold elasticity of the pieces 8 and 9. The window can thus be opened or closed either vertically or horizontally. |
