1,017,791. Coin freed apparatus. MASCHINENFABRIK A. D. SCHULTHESS & CO. A.G. Feb. 21, 1964 [Nov. 25, 1963], No. 7280/64. Heading G4V. Relays are energized to indicate the number of coins accumulated in coin shoots and to prepare a circuit in choice of a programme for a washing machine according to the price paid. Two parallel inclined shoots one for two shilling pieces and one for sixpences (or one for francs and one for ten centime pieces) are perforated so that light beams shine across the shoot to stimulate photo-cells unless blocked by coins. The photo-cells are arranged down the shoots in the positions occupied by the coins as they accumulate one by one. Singly or in combination the photo-cells control relays the contacts of which select the programme relay appropriate to the value of coins deposited. |
