<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a collagen for cell culture substrate, having high gel strength and small variability of gel strength between lots of product, comprising a collagen containing a large amount of collagen molecule association substance fractionated from a solubilized collagen. CONSTITUTION:A collagen for cell culture substrate obtained from a solubilized collagen, containing a large amount of collagen molecule association substance. The collagen has preferably >=40wt.% collagen molecule association substance. The objective collagen, for example, is obtained from an insoluble fraction which is prepared by successively finely cutting animal connective tissue, washing the tissue with water, then with phys. saline solution, de-fatting and drying to give a raw material, extracting the raw material with an acidic solution to give a collagen solution, salting-out the solution with a concentrated solution of salt to give solubilized collagen, fractionating the solubilized collagen with an acidic solution containing 0.5M NaCl.</p> |
