To enable a moulded pulp egg flat to accommodate both large and medium-sized eggs and to enable the flat to be packed in cartons which usually accommodate only flats for mediumsized eggs, the flats are made square and provided with side walls 16 upstanding at two opposed edges and extending between edge projections of each rank 15 which are cut vertically through their centres. The walls 16 protect the eggs from damage by the carton walls. Finger openings 18 facilitate lifting the tray. |
