PURPOSE:To reduce a manufacturing cost by a method wherein flange elements formed in a divided manner are fitted to the surroundings of the opening of a pressure vessel, fastening pieces are positioned facing each other, and meanwhile a space is locked to the fastening pieces by means of screws in a state to be nipped therebetween to join the flange elements together. CONSTITUTION:Flange elements 5 are fitted to the surrounding of the opening of a pressure vessel 2, fastening pieces 6 at both ends of the flange elements 5 are positioned facing each other and meanwhile, a spacer 7 is nipped between the fastening pieces 6. By joining together the fastening pieces 6 by means of bolts 8 and nuts 9 in a state to nip the spacer 7 therebetween, a flange 4 is firmly secured to the opening of the pressure vessel 2, and opening and closing of an opening closing door 3 are practicable. A distance each other between the fastening pieces 6 is regulated by the thickness of the spacer 7, and the pressure vessel 2 or the flange element 5 is prevented from deformation even through screw locking more than is necessary. Besides, since the flange element can be manufactured of a low cost material, e.g. iron, a processing cost and a material cost are reduced, and a cost can be reduced. |
