PURPOSE:To stabilize output power in a high efficiency by forming both end faces of an NYAB crystal as resonator mirrors in a laser diode pumping solid state laser for pumping the NYAB crystal by a semiconductor laser, and forming the length of the resonator less than a predetermined value. CONSTITUTION:A semiconductor laser 11 is brought fixedly into close contact with the end face 10a of an NYAB crystal 10. The crystal 10 and the laser 11 are integrally secured to a heat sink 18, which is secured on a TE cooler 12 made of Peltier element, etc. The length of a resonator is formed less than 2.5mm. Thus, even if the diameter of a laser oscillation beam is formed 100mum or less, a solid state laser oscillation beam becomes a regular circular beam without influence of a walk off, and since a phase matching pngle range, a temperature allowable range and further a wavelength allowable range become wide, a high wavelength conversion efficiency and a stable output can be realized. |
