A hydraulic motor suitable for driving tracked equipment, cranes, buckets, winches and wind lasses, includes a cam 1 around which are a plurality of radially disposed telescopic tubular elements 3 each comprised of two tubular cylindrical portions 4, 5 with sealing gaskets 4B, 5B, 6 and containing a spring 7 which maintains one end of each element in sliding contact with the spherical surface of the cam 1 and the other in sliding contact with a rigid spherical cap 8, which cap is provided with a passage port 10 which connects the chamber 13 into alternate communication with a source of pressurized liquid and a discharge line. Each passage port 10 has a pipe 11 connected to a distributor which admits pressurized liquid such as pressurized oil, to the passage 10 whereby pressure is transmitted on to the surface of the cam 1 and the cap 8 so that the cam rotates around the axis of the shaft 2. In an embodiment, Fig. 3, a sleeve 15 is made rigid with the tubular portion 5 by means of a threaded nut 16, and a solid element 18, the rod 17 of which is guided into the sleeve 15, is made rigid with the tubular portion 4. Sealing gaskets 20, 23, 68 are provided of which 20, 23 may be made of plastics material. The spherical cap 8 has a hollow 24 which communicates via holes 26 with an annular cavity 25 which in turn communicates alternately with a source of pressurized fluid and a discharge line.</p> |
