Installation comprises inlet, processing and outlet sections, provision being made in all sections for guide stations for the strip being led by guide rolls in predetermined paths, whereby the strip can be unwound in the inlet section and rolled up or parted longitudinally in the outlet section. The start of the strip or the head-piece of a transverse break present in a longitudinal section can be inserted in the guide stations of all the installation sections by means of a cable attachable to the head-piece. |
