New compounds are of formula I: (where R is H (halo) Ph, C1-4 alkyl or of OH, ethyl, X is H or OH and Y is O S or imino), are prepared by either (a) heating a compound of formula II: RNH.NH.CH=C(CN)CY.N - CR'R2 (II) or its tautomer wherein R' is H or OH- and R2 is NH2, acylamino, alkylamino, acylalkylamino, dialkylamino, morpholino, OH, alkoxy, SH- or alkylmercapto, each alkyl moiety having 1-4C atoms); or (b) heating a 5-aminopyrazole having in the 1-position a substituent R and in the 4-position a substituent R'R2C = NC.Y-. |
