[Also in Division C3] Coatings are produced on substrates by the application of solid particles of a fusible, cross-linkable binder to the substrates, and hardening by heating to a temperature above 130‹C. The binder has a softening point of between 50 and 180‹C and consists of the reaction product of one or more hydroxylcontaining polyesters and an alkoxymethylisocyanate. Suitable substrates are metals, plastics and woven fabrics. The particles are applied by spraying electrostatically or using a compressed air gun or by means of a fluidised bed. |
