ADHESIVE COMPOSITION, POLYVINYL CHLORIDE SHEET FOR LAMINATING POLYPROPYLENE USING THE SAME, AND PRODUCTION OF POLYPROPYLENE-POLYVINYL CHLORIDE LAMINATE

PURPOSE:To provide an adhesive composition having good adhesive properties for both a polypropylene sheet and a polyvinyl chloride sheet without causing environmental pollution by dispersing a specific amount of chlorinated polypropylene into an emulsion adhesive having adhesiveness to a polyvinyl chloride sheet. CONSTITUTION:An adhesive composition is prepared by dispersing 3 to 20 pts.wt. chlorinated polypropylene per 100 pts.wt. solid component of an emulsion adhesive into the emulsion adhesive having adhesiveness to a polyvinyl chloride sheet, such as a polyvinyl acetate emulsion adhesive. A polypropylene-polyvinyl chloride laminate suitable for various cards is readily produced by laminating a polypropylene sheet on a adhesive layer of a polyvinyl chloride sheet provided with an adhesive layer comprising the obtained adhesive composition on at least one side thereof and thermally pressing them.
