In a machine for inserting windings into stators of dynamo-electric machines a winding insertion tool 4 is located in an upper part of the machine, and is detachably mounted. The machine comprises a lower frame 1 and an upper frame 2 pivotally mounted thereon. The head 5 of the tool 4 is provided on either side with quick release locking devices 10 and with two lifting lugs on its top. The head also includes a ratchet disc (19) provided with peripheral recesses (18) into one of which a pawl (20) engages, Fig. 4 (not shown). Rotation of an eccentric (23) disengages the pawl from the recess, thereby allowing the head 4 to be lifted from the machine. The front of the head is located by a forked key 27 engaging an annular groove 26. To facilitate removal of the tool 4, its rear end 6 telescopes into the head 5. |
