A connector plate combination for joining wooden members comprises at least one connector plate 14 and a co-operative grommet plate 15, said connector plate having a body portion 18 and a plurality of teeth 16 extending outwardly from one side of said body portion, said grommet plate having a plurality of aper. tures 32 such that at least some of the teeth on the connector plate can be inserted therethrough to position the grommet plate adjacent the body portion of the connector plate. The teeth are formed in pairs stamped out of the body portion and joined to the body portion by a base portion 19. The apertures are of such a size as to engage the base of the teeth to prevent relative movement between the two plates. In the embodiments described the grommet plate has substantially smaller surface area than the connector plate. |
