The brushless excitation system for a synchronous machine consists of a single coil system or multiple coil arrangement, with two anti-parallel sets of magnetically interacting windings (11, 12, 21, 22) of the same dia., number of coils, and cross-sectional area of conductors. Each has a yoke ring positioned coaxially between them for conveying the magnetic flux between them. The part winding (12 or 22) directly alongside each other axially, of two transmission systems are wound on the same coil body (14). Each has a further yoke ring (4) at the end. |
