PURPOSE:To inhibit the transmission of oil shock sound as well as vibration to a car body when the damping force of a shock absorber is switched according to the vibration of the car body by switching the rigidity of a body connection part of the shock absorber to a lower level. CONSTITUTION:The vibration received by a car body due to the unevenness of road surface is detected by a sensor 25. The signal level value from the sensor 25 is compared with a preliminarily set reference by a comparing means M1. The valve for switching the oil path in a shock absorber 2 is controlled by a damping force switching means M2 correspondent to the output signal of the comparing means M1. The output signal received by the damping force switching means M2 is thus detected, and at least when the oil path in the shock absorber 2 is to be switched, the rigidity of the body connection part of the shock absorber 2 is switched to a lower level by a switching means M3. Namely, when the switching valve for adjusting the damping force is worked, by putting the rigidity of the connection part of the shock absorber 2 in a lower condition, the transmission of the vibration generated at the time of switching the valve to a body can be reduced. |
