摘要

PURPOSE:To control mold-release property of a coloring ink layer properly and form clear images also on a rough paper as well as a smooth paper even when a high speed printer is used by making at least a part of particles out of powder particles plunge into the coloring ink layer passing through a mold release layer. CONSTITUTION:A thermal transfer ink ribbon comprises a base material 1, a mold-release control layer 2, a mold release layer 3, and a coloring ink layer 4. At least a part of powder particles 5 added to the control layer 2 are covered not entirely by the mold-release layer 3 plunging their heads into the coloring ink layer 4. The particles 5 function for controlling mold-release property of the coloring ink layer 4 with an anchor effect. As a result, the coloring ink layer 4 is provided with a proper mold-releasing property so that clear images can be obtained also on a rough paper by using a high speed printer.
