PURPOSE:To manufacture a H-shape steel excellent in the offset of the center and with a constant outside dimension by using horizontal rolls which are divided into plural parts in the axial direction and whose position is freely adjustable in the axial direction for the horizontal rolls of universal intermediate rolling mill and universal finish rolling mill. CONSTITUTION:A rough rolling stand, intermediate rolling stand and finish rolling stand are provided and also the horizontal rolls 20 which are divided into four parts in the axial direction and whose position is freely adjustable in the axial direction are used for the horizontal rolls of the universal intermediate rolling mill U with which the intermediate rolling stand is constituted. Further, the horizontal rolls of the universal finish rolling mill UF of which the finish rolling stand is constituted are bisected and the horizontal rolls 30 whose position is freely adjustable are used. Also at the time of intermediate rolling, rolling for adjusting the web height is executed by plural passes using the universal intermediate rolling mill U with the above- mentioned horizontal roll 20 and also, at the time of finish rolling, rolling for finishing web height is executed by using the universal finish rolling mill UF with the above- mentioned horizontal rolls 30. |
