NEW MATERIAL:A conjugated diyne compound shown by formula I and formula II (Y is H or group shown by formula III; Z is Ac or group shown by formula IV; Ac is acetyl). EXAMPLE:A compound shown by formula V (named lobetyolin). USE:An anti-cancer drug or an intermediate therefor. PREPARATION:A plant material of Lobelia inflata, preferably root, especially hair root thereof is dried, powdered, extracted with a lower alcohol such as methanol, separated and purified by a conventional procedure to give a compound shown by formula I. Then, this compound is acetylated by a conventional procedure to give a compound shown by formula II. The hair root is obtained by infecting cut stem piece of the plant material of Lobelia inflata with a bacterium to give a matter and subjecting the matter to tissue culture. |
