PURPOSE:To constitute the ethylene removing device which is usable over a long period of time, facilitates maintenance and simple in construction by disposing an ethylene cracking catalyst, an ozone generator which oxidizes formed acetaldehyde and an ozone cracking catalyst. CONSTITUTION:The ethylene in the air introduced from an air feed port 4 is oxidized and cracked by the ethylene cracking catalyst 1 to the acetaldehyde. The acetaldehyde is oxidized and decomposed by the ozone from the ozone generator 2 and further, the oxidation is accelerated by the ozone cracking catalyst 3 to acetic acid which is discharged from a discharge port 5. The odorous components in the air introduced from the air feed port 4 are also cracked by the ozone. The ozone which is not used for the oxidation of the acetaldehyde and the cracking of the odorous components is cracked by the ozone cracking catalyst 3. The ethylene cracking catalyst 1 includes silver, palladium, and the compd. thereof, etc., and the ozone cracking catalyst 3 includes iron, manganese, cobalt, gold, platinum, etc. |
