A hydraulic injection machine, esp. for expanded thermoplastics, with a movable mould plate which moves clear of the guide bars on the opening stroke, has this movable plate pivotally mounted on a sliding carriage, so that when the mould has opened, the mould plate can pivot about a vertical axis through 90 degrees to discharge the moulding.
