An inputted key is checked to find whether it is related to images and sounds. If it is, a checking finds whether the inputted key is an AV (audio and video) memory mode key. If it is, the images and sounds are controlled by fetching the control data from a memory. If it is not an AV memory mode key but a video/audio mode key, the set video/audio control mode is displayed on the screen, and then, the next video/audio control mode is displayed on the screen upon receipt of a video/audio mode key within a first setting period. Then the inputted key is checked to find whether it is an increment or decrement key to take a proper action. With the method, the video and audio control data do not have to be adjusted each time. |
