PURPOSE:To shorten time for transferring a packet by respectively providing packet routing tables at optical signal amplifiers so as to reversely transfer packets. CONSTITUTION:Optical signal amplifiers 3 are respectively equipped with packet routing tables 31 so as to reversely transfer packets. Even when optical transmission lines 4 generate fault, the packets can be transferred to packet transfer sources or optical signal terminal equipments 2 as packet repeating devices without being abandonned, and this packet is transferred to the final transfer destination optical signal amplifier 3 by a packet detour function provided in the optical signal terminal equipment 2 while using the other packet communication network without transmitting the packet again. Thus, time for transferring packets is shortened. |
