Pesticidal organophosphorus compositions - stabilized with aminoacid salts

Pesticidal compsns. comprising (a) an anhydrous cellulose paste, >=1 salt of an aminoacid and a metal or nitrogenous base, and opt. a salt of a carboxylic acid and a metal or nitrogenous base, the salts being homogeneously dispersed in the paste; (b) a liquid organophosphorus cpd. of formula : (RO)2P(=Z)-O-CH=C(X)X1 (where R is a 1-4C organic gp.; Z is O or S; X and X1 are hal, pref. Cl, Br) so that the salts are in a proportion of 0.2-5% of the organophosphorus which is itself present at 0.2-3 times the wt. of the paste diluent, and the organophosphorus may contain 10-90% of a soluble stabiliser or adjuvant with a vapour pressure of >1 mm Hg at 20 degrees C, coevaporants with a vapour pressure of 0,1-1 mm Hg at 20 degrees C and plasticisers having a vapour pressure of 0.01 mm Hg at 20 degrees C. The stabilised insecticides and anthelmintic compsns. are used for treating animals.
