PURPOSE:To obtain a polyester composition for insulating film having excellent whiteness free from ethylene terephthalate trimer, comprising a polyester containing specific amounts of inert inorganic particles, a metal, phosphorus, etc. CONSTITUTION:A polyester which contains 0.5-10wt.% inert inorganic particles (e.g. silicon trioxide) having 0.01-4mum average particle diameter and >=100m<2>/g specific surface area, contains one or more metals selected from alkaline (earth) metals, iron group, manganese, etc., and phosphorus so as to satisfy the formula (M/P is equivalent ratio of metal and phosphorus contained in polyester and phosphorus is calculated as divalent) and has <=0.4wt.% content of ethylene terephthalate trimer and comprises ethylene terephthalate as a main repeating unit is molded into a film. |
