PURPOSE:To improve the man-machine interface by generating an operation manual to transmit it to a communication terminal in response to an operation manual request and reporting information of a failure in transmission to the communication terminal in the case of the failure in transmission. CONSTITUTION:A network control part 11, a MODEM 12, and a communication control part 13 constitute a transmission control means, and the communication control part 13 and an instruct information storage part 21 or hard disks 6 and 7 constitute a transmission failure information storage means, and the communication control part 13, the MODEM 12, and the network control part 11 constitute a transmission failure information reporting means. A facsimile mail equipment 1 receives the operation manual request from the communication terminal and generates the operation manual corresponding to the service requested by an operator and transmits it to the communication terminal, and transmission failure information is reported if the operation manual cannot be normally transmitted. Consequently, it is sufficient if the operator of the communication terminal calls the facsimile mail equipment 1 and reads an OMR sheet by the communication terminal to transmit it when he requests the operation manual by the OMR sheet. Thus, the man-machine interface is improved. |
