PURPOSE:To make possible the checking of print data by providing a comparison matching part which compares the contents of storage with a dictionary pattern of a dictionary pattern part and a device which notifies a host device about the accuracy of detected printed image. CONSTITUTION:A difference between image data before printing in a pre- printing memory part 11 in which data is entered and image data after printing in a post-printing memory part 12 is extracted as print image data from a print image extraction part 5, and the extracted data is stored in a print image memory part 5a. On the other hand, an image pattern to be printed is prepared from a dictionary data part according to a printing command from the host device. Then a comparison/matching part 6 checks whether said print image pattern matches print image data stored in the print image memory part 5a, and notifies the host device 7 about the results through a host I/F part 2. The host device 7 commands a printing device about necessary procedures it should take based on the results. |
