1298091 Circuit assemblies WESTERN ELECTRIC CO Inc 19 Aug 1970 [19 Aug 1969] 39837/70 Heading H1R [Also in Division H3] An amplifier (see Division H3) includes a first plurality of transistor devices 11, 12, 13 having their collector electrodes interconnected and their base electrodes interconnected, an equal plurality of transistor devices 21, 22, 23 also having their collector electrodes interconnected and their base electrodes interconnected, wherein the emitter electrode of each device in the first plurality of devices is separately connected to the emitter electrode of a respective one of the equal plurality of devices. In the construction shown the first plurality of devices 11, 12, 13 lies on one face, and the equal plurality of devices 21, 22, 23 lies on the other face, of a ceramic base-plate 40, shown for convenience as opened up over an axis 41. The respective sets of collectors are joined together by means of metallic layers 19À5, 29À5, the transistors being formed in semi-conductor members 17, 27, and their bases joined together by superimposed metallic members 18, 28. The respective emitters are connected to members 14, 15, 16 and 24, 25, 26 respectively, each of which is connected to a corresponding terminal member 34, 35, 36 and 37, 38, 39 respectively by means of corresponding resistors 31À5, 32À5, 33À5 respectively, the terminals 34, 37, and 35, 38 and also 36, 39 being joined together in pairs. |
